This workshop will focus on Gale In Context: Opposing Viewpoints, our premier online resource covering today's hottest social issues, from capital punishment to immigration to marijuana. This cross-curricular resource supports science, social studies, current events, and language arts classes.

This session will review the following:

  • Key features of the database
  • The types of content available within the resource
  • Best practices for searching and using tools
  • Unique tools and features (Browse Issues, Highlights & Notes, Topic Finder, Topic Overviews)

Host: Rachael Hinojosa

Bio: Rachael Hinojosa is a trainer on the Gale Academic Outreach and Engagement team and loves to connect faculty and students with the resources they need. She is always eager to help Gale’s library partners and their students make the most of their archives, databases and ebooks holdings in order to improve access and engagement. Rachael has a BA from the University of Michigan in Classical Language and Literature and is always up for a chat about papyrus, Aristophanes or science fiction.
